A Tribute to Theodor Geisel, aka Dr. Seuss

I do not like them, Sam-I-Am. I do not like green eggs and ham.

I Am Lynn.

Lynn Is In.

And just who is this Lynn who's in?

I do not like About Me pages.
I do not wonder what your age is.
I do not mind if you are old.
I do not mind if you are bold.

I do not like them on a blog.
I do not like a monologue.
I will not read them here or there.
I will not read them anywhere.

I do not want to write this one.
I will not list the things I've done.
I think that you will come to see.
It really is not about me.

I do not think that's why you're here.
I think you're here to find an ear;
And I will listen night and day.
I want to learn from what you say.

Then very soon we'll get to know
just where we've been and where we'll go.
We'll be fast friends, there is no doubt!
And that is what this blog's about.

Oh, wait!  Is this one of those pages?
And did I write it?  That's outrageous!
Perhaps I like them after all.
I've very glad you've come to call.

On A More Serious Note

As you can see, I like to write in rhyme.  It's a vintage thing.

I've always been unapologetically old-fashioned, drawn to the simplicity and elegance of many traditions from bygone eras.

I believe nothing of beauty and value is ever outdated.  Sometimes those old things just need a new life or an overdue revival.

In my quest to preserve by heritage and honor my traditions, I hope to leave a legacy that matters to my loved ones and to inspire others to do the same.  If you are on a similar journey, I am sure we will inspire each other in ways we have yet to discover.

I'm so glad you're here to share your thoughts about how you are preserving your own traditions and making memories.  Fearlessly.
