5 Classic Salad Fillings for Sandwiches
I love making salad fillings for buffet sandwiches. The convenience of making them ahead is a real time saver on busy party days. I find that the classic recipes with a few slight modifications are still the best.
Each of the recipes below can be served in multiple ways. I like to use mini-croissants, silver dollar buns, or even serve the salad by itself in a pretty bowl with a tray of crackers.
For the sandwiches, I usually add a leaf of romaine or other leafy green, decorate each sandwich with a frilled toothpick, and arrange each variety on a different platter.
